For nearly a decade, Seattleites have watched one CEO after another leave the Port under less than favorable circumstances. I want to ensure the CEO is committed to our communities.

Recent Port actions, such as the Shell Oil lease decision and the bid process for terminal locations, demonstrate a lack of effective communication among commissioners. I want to promote an inclusive and transparent engagement process, through better communications and partnerships.

The Port has spent millions in frivolous legal fees related to certain practices ranging from preventing storm water pollution at Pier 66, to airport concession discrimination, to airport noise and operation complaints. I would champion doing what it takes to minimize avoidable costs by “doing what’s right.”
